stanza

stanza

A home for your pictures, and the words that go with them.

For people who make beautiful pictures without calling themselves photographers, and whose pictures pile up over the years.

stanza lays them out freely, with less grid and more turns, and with words beside the pictures, from a single line to a whole short poem, rather than labels under them. Each picture keeps its date and place underneath.

stanza is being made now. The pages on this site are a working example: pictures by Todd Stabley, with words by Walt Whitman from Leaves of Grass.

Stanza is Italian for “room”, and a stanza is a verse of a poem.
